I'm wanting a Colt style with a steel frame. I have two 1851 but both are brass framed.
Cabela's (who gets all my money now!)

has an 1860 Army .44 on sale for $219 down from $269 and then there's the 1851 on sale for $279 down from $299.
What's the cause of the big price difference between the 1860 and 1851? Is it the round barrel vs the octal barrel? I'd be happy with either one but might go for the 1851 if the cyl from my brass 1851 would work in the steel framed. I like having extra cylinders when loading using my stand...
