I have a number of revolvers that have not been bench stripped in over 30 years. I run through a lot of ammunition at the range and some on the trail, but other than cleaning the externals, cylinder and barrel, I have not felt it necessary to take the dang things apart. I am a big believer in properly lubricating revolvers, and I pay attention to their functioning. What needs to be addressed, gets addressed.
Oh I can, of course, take them down to the last little screw and spring, but see no real benefit in doing that.
