I'm going to be doing some experimenting with .22 LR and this would be a LOT easier to carry around than my industrial-grade chronograph, plus this can be used any time, anywhere. My good chronograph requires a cold range so I can set it up on a tripod at least 15 feet in front of the firing line. This would allow me to show up and just start shooting.

Reviews are mixed. Is it worth 15 bucks to experiment?
