The AR is by far the most wildly popular rifle of any type, at least in the US. There are lots of reasons for that, but it's ease of assembly and adaptability to different cartridges and parts also widens the probability to malfunctions to some degree. Keep in mind I'm
not saying it's inherently prone to malfunctions.
