Sorry to hear about the loss of your wife. Any words likely sound hollow just now, but time should help a little bit. Just now, I expect your grief is still very deep. Glad you pushed out and got a hunt in and a buck.
I can remember clearly, even now 20 years later, the last deer I killed with my Dad, and the first one I killed after he was gone. The grief I felt then is gone, replaced with all the good memories. I trust your path will be similar.
