I have seen that too, with Speer bullets intended for the 1:14 twist .224 rifles but put in use in fast twist 1:7 in my case. Centrifugal force caused the bullet to come apart upon exit of the barrel, disintegrating and never making it to the target.
Kind of like taking an engine that’s good for 6000 rpm and running it to 12,000 rpm, things might come apart.
