The idea of planning to buy ammo during a panic seems.... incongruous... to me.

Better idea... get the gun you want and get enough ammo to get through a panic.

Even better, better idea. If you don't reload, START! and purchase enough supplies to get you comfortably through the next panic. These things last 6 months or so. Have 6 months of supplies.
