What are you using it for ?

To answer your question, we have to ask a question.

What do you intend to do with the loads ?

If you are target shooting, target/action competing, plinking, having fun,

then I agree with the various responses about the 200 gr rnfp's,,

If you are hunting or looking for maximum defense,,,,

then you need to probably look at jacketed, and in my opinion, at least 250 gr Hollow points. I say this so that you can get the most out of the caliber (which by the way I'm partial to !!).

Last but not least, each gun IS unique. There are definitely common loads that work in most guns, but you may need to try a few different ones to find the best.

and, the way you do your testing is important. Apples to apples. Eliminate variables. Shoot your samples at same distance, and from seated rest, probably 20 to 25 yards, to test not only your skill, but the guns.

good luck.
