had both personally, and the significant other wanted to try both as well. she could not completely rack the slide of the solo (very stiff recoil spring), and could not perform the T.R.B. malfunction drills. otherwise, perceived recoil for her actually was less with the solo. also keep in mind that the solo is not a SAO like a 1911. its striker-fired with a ambi thumb safety
