Well, not sure any of this is really new. I personally believe the assault will not be via this type of broad legislation. I believe primarily they will use either the courts are other governmental agencies implementing what many may call "reasonable restrictions" and/or additional fees and taxes.
A major source of objection to a free economy is precisely that it ... gives people what they want instead of what a particular group thinks they ought to want. Underlying most arguments against the free market is a lack of belief in freedom itself.
