For .223 through '06, generally you can figure that 2" high at 100 yards will be close to dead on at 200, give or take very little. (Omitting cartridges like the Swift, obviously.)

Another generality is that most critters are killed somewhere inside of 200 yards. One inch high at 100 doesn't hurt, but zeroing at 200 and knowing your trajectory will let you reach out further if you want to.
