That is what I'm looking for just getting back to basics while I'm living over an hour away from the closest public rifle range. I have a indoor pistol and rimfire range within about 5 minutes of my apartment in Lubbock. I'm not much of a pistol guy but figured I could sling up a little .22 lr and hone some long neglected skills. I'm so used to shooting off of daypacks, bipods, sticks and benches that I rarely just use a sling or shoot offhand.
Then you're good to go. Work and practice and find out what ammo this particular rifle likes and you may even be surprised with the accuracy you get. I think you'll be very satisified.
