I have also heard that a gun of this model that is missing an "airweight" stamp is rare
There was a short period of time during 93/94 that Airweight was not marked on the gun. It was during a transition from moving the marking from the barrel to the frame. I had a model 637 from the same time period without the marking.
There is no information on how many produced and no premium that I'm aware of.
