Depends on what type of shooting you do, and the volume.
I run 300-600 centerfires for 6 different calibers every month. I'd be drooling in the corner if I were to load them with a single stage press. Ditto with high volume for pistol cartridges. I use a Hornady Lock 'N Load progressive press.
If you shoot a more limited number of rounds, and load to the tenth of a grain for accuracy, a single stage or turret is fine.
