I think its a bit of both. I have no ideal of the percentages though. But one new gun owner is better then no new gun owners.
Give you an example, after years of nagging my daughter finely got her CC Permit and signed up for some classes. Her reasoning is she's alone now, both her kids are off to college.
Anyway she picked a Ruger LCP and ordered it, its back ordered, so she decides to get another gun also, an LC9. She needed it for her upcoming class on Sunday. She still wants both.
Regardless of reasons, we are getting more gun owners, which in my opinion means more gun friendly voters. Every one we get helps.
