Magnum primers are not required nor specified for the .243 winchester cartridge. Standard primers work fine, unless you are shooting in reallllly cold climates.
An easy solution is to use winchester large rifle primers. They are rated for either standard or magnum cartridges, as their flame temperature is ideal for either. Also keeps your primer inventory much simpler to deal with.
