as far as the "match" thing... to me, match cases should all weigh the same, have the same measured capacity, have uniform & deburred primer flash holes...

if you have the time, you can do all this even with military brass ( my father in law before he died, had more time than money ) & sorted 1000's of military 223 cases by head stamp, case weight, case capacity, etc...

he did this, not because he shot in matches, but because he so enjoyed shooting prairie dogs... he would often go out for a whole week, & on a good week, used to shoot over 1000 rounds
