I have an old habit of weighing a can of powder as soon as I get it home. It all started several years ago when I was shooting a lot of BP and the guy I purchased from was known for his accuracy in dispensing the powder.

Here's the thing. In less than six months I've run across 2 Hodgdon powder purchases that have weighed less than 1 pound. One of them was a can of IMR 8208 XBR, and the other was a can of H335. Both of these cans should have weighed out around 17 or 18 ounces with the cap and can, but the IMR 8208 came out at 10 ounces & the H335 came out at 12 ounces.

I'm beginning to wonder if this is not a common thing and no one else is catching it because they aren't weighing their powder.

Your thoughts?
