Nice job on the antelope with the model 99. I have one in 300 savage as well but I am wanting to try this new 243 win out. I would not say that the wind thing is a myth. I will be using a flatter shooting rifle than the legendary 300 Savage so I would like to take advantage of its characteristics and at least be able to shoot longer distances in moderate winds. I think 250 yards with a good cross wind could affect my accuracy with a light bullet.
At any rate, I like the Barnes bullets and I will probably try them.

I am still curious about the barrel twist.
