Any Dupont powder is at least 35 + years old. However, like Sevens says, IMR was a Dupont brand name. They got out of the powder business in the late 60's/early 70's.
Their use of IMR(Improved Military Rifle) dates from the 1920's. Mind you, there was no other company using the number '4895' until Hodgdon came along. H4895 and IMR4895 are very close. Numbers 69 and 71, respectively, on Hodgdon's burn rate chart.
