If more had the BE there would be more stuff to find for it...
I've carried M9s and I own a BE plastic compact. It depends on what you want to do. Range gun or duty pistol, I think I may would go with the 92. They are VERY easy to shoot like a dream. Of course I haven't shot an all steel BE, they may be just as good or better. CC, I would go with the BE as they are easier to conceal and as reliable as anything. My BE is my carry piece and I love it.
One more thing, I know with my BE the safety is a little hard to manipulate and it seems to be made for hands my size and up (and I have big hands). I think you would have an easier time with the 92. Just my .02
