For bbstacker and others, I highly recommend the NRA softcover publication called, "The M1 Rifle". It is a definitive work, and has a treasure trove of information about the Garand.

There are two parts that were of extreme value to me. One was a section containing a complete list of powders and charge weight ranges for the Garand, and for bullets from 150 grain to 180 grain.

The second section shows you how to glass bed a Garand rifle. I've had fun with that one!
