country boy and I have come to an agreement that what makes sense to some, won't to others.

What I am going for is a handier bear gun, and am thinking of "Alaskanizing" my SRH .44 mag to fill the bill like the SRH Alaskan in 454/480.

Kind of funny, but it is alot easier to find .44 mag ammo at a reasonable price than it it 454/480/etc, and, well, I like .44 mag more.

All this piece needs to do is stuff 6 rounds in anything big, hairy and upset coming my way, and is too close for me to get to my rifle or shotgun.

Stop focusing why I want to do this and just tell me how. What would be the best way to mount a new sight on the SRH's frame extention?
