I never dignified it by calling it music. One thing to remember about RAP is that virtually all kids listen to it - not just blacks but Asians & Hispanics and whites. I've even heard it in Munich when I was there (Bismarck must be spinning). And folks, it's not just in
Inglese any mo' and it can be heard in Eastern European tongues. It escapes me how a people who have given us so much culturally (Jazz, blues, all sorts of dances) now give us "RAP". It's a sorry statement for the heirs of Louie Armstrong, Dizzy Gillespe, Cab Calloway, etc.
