Is it possible to convert a Colt 1903 Pocket Model from 32ACP to 380 Auto ??
I would think that all it would take would be a barrel and magazine swap - possibly the slide also.
Has anybody tried this? Thanks for your thoughts.

Sure! Colt did it, they called it the Model 1908. However, in the process they changed the barrel bushing set-up. I have a solution: get one of each! you could buy one from here: http://nav.to/gunrunner1
It's #19 on the 'Specials' list. Sorry, don't know the price, but I just happened to remember seeing it.
'Sall I got, for what it's worth. ;)

In years gone by, it was common practice to interchange barrel and magazines to chamge calibers. It may be necessary to do a slight amount of filing inside the grip frame of some pistols to accept the .380 magazine. The extractor does not need to be modified.
