Rem. 870 Flexitab introduced when?

Wondering what year the Flexitab mods were introduced on the 870? Asked this over at Harley's, but no answer there...wonder if anyone here has a line on this?

I don't have an exact year but I think around 86 or 87. I can tell you I have a Wingmaster that was manufactured in 88 with it.
Call Remington they can let you know the exact year.
