A member said that he has a M77 in 7.62x39! I went to the Ruger web site and they didn't list one:( Was this a limited run for this round? And if so does anyone know where I can find one? I think that it would be a great first deer gun for my 11y/o girl. Thanks for any help you all can give. One more thing, are there any other bolt guns in 7.62x39?

1. Yes, it was a limited run. Personally, I would love for them to make another run of these. Here in FL, a light .30 bolt action would be good for deer and hogs.
2. CZ makes 7.62x39 bolt rifles also.

Go to http://www.galleryofguns.com
You will find it there, it is a special run for Davidson's.

I like the gun but unless she is very tall for her age the stock would be too long for a young girl. The ones I have seen have the ruger synthetic stock which you couldn't shorten. Maybe somebody makes a youth stock for Rugers?
