I received a Cabela's catalog for the 1st time in the mail and noticed they have L&B 12 ga sporting clays shells for 39.99 per case. I am considering buying some but thought I would see if any of ya'll had any experience with them. It looks like they charge an extra shipping charge of $5 per case because of the added wieght so I am wondering if they are worth it.

I think that's S&B,PWK. No direct experience, but folks I know who have shot them are not overly nor under enthused about them.

Did shoot 5 rounds of their 00 for comparison, patterns were OK but not great, and the shells shot dirty, no major probs.

I know not if reloading components are available, gut feeling is they're not.

For the money, you could get Estate target ammo. I've tested their 00 and was impressed, and the Geezer Squad likes the target loads. Try their 3 dram, 1 1/8 oz load of 8s.

Thanks, yes you're right it is S&B. The way the script letters were I mistook an S for an L.

I have used s&b in the dove fields and believe that they are a good shell. The local 4H club buys them by the pallet and like them. Don't know about the reload capability. Have tried some estate 28ga and was very unhappy about the quality. 5 to 6 shells in every box were BADLY crimped. Have no experience with the estate 12 or 20ga.
