Just got a parts order in from 45gunparts.com. I ordered a barrel, mainspring housing, bushing, and a few other pins, etc.

Oh gosh, even though the parts were inexpensive I didn't expect to see this kind of "quality"!!!!

Lets just say that Dane Burns didn't do the finish work on the mainspring housing!

I sure hope they take customer returns. I think Norincos probably have better parts.

If they are some of the repros I have seen, I will guarantee Norinco's have better parts. Norinco parts are very good, all good steel and properly tooled and hardened. I have put about 4k through one and 2k through another and let me tell you it is monotonous. Not one malfunction. As in none! And almost no sign of any wear.

I've had three Norinco 1911s, and only one was a dog---it was the Compact model. Jammed continuously. One of the others I kept only a week and never shot. But the other, a full-sized model, I handloaded for and shot extensively, and malfunctions were nil. One afternoon, as an experiment, I loaded up a magazine of spent rounds to see if the pistol would feed them. I was amazed that it fed, extracted, and ejected empties as long as I cared to load mags and yank on the slide.

Norinco 1911s may never been cosmetic wonders, but I had good experiences with the full-sized models.

These are some of the worst repro parts I have seen. Yes, the Norincos I have shot had better looking parts, which was why I said what I did.
I was just giving a heads up as far as the quality of what this outfit is selling. They are rough as a cob.
