I just got a good deal on an SKS sporter at a gun show on Saturday. The only problem is that it still has the spike bayonet pinned on it. I took it to the range and got some weird looks when I started shooting it (the bayonet was down but still visible. I have no use for it being on the rifle, other than to freak out my friends, so I would like to take it off. I tapped on the pin holding it in yesterday with no luck. Am I going to have to really come on to it or is there another way of getting it off. Thanks in advance to anyone that can help me.

Corey, these are normally held on by a screw at the bayonet lug. If yours is pinned you may have to drill the pin out. George
