I wanted to set up my 870 with some affordable ghostring sights. Would a set of Mossberg sights work? They're only $49.00 from Cheaperthandirt.com. Thanks! TCW

TCW, maybe so, maybe no so. I haven't tried them on the 870. I'd recommend the Williams WGRS-37. Made for the 870 and I sell them for $31.80 plus $3.50 shipping. You can get them from Brownells for the same price. They require drilling and tapping of the receiver. George

Does the rear GR sights by Mossberg go on the receiver? It looks in pictures like a barrel-mounted affair...

George, I am interested in a receiver peep sight for my SGs, but in every catalog I've looked the Williams are called out as being made of aluminum...are there any peep sights made of steel (Lyman?) that could be finished to match the gun - i.e, parkerized? Would parkerizing destroy the adjustment mechanism (and while on this subject, would you kindly take a look at my post on parking and tolerances?)

Thanks
