Does anyone by chance know if this is a replica of the 1850 version of the Philadelphia Derringer? I've read where Henry spelt his name with only 1 R. Spain is imprinted on the barrel along with what appears ta be 0003747. Im unable ta find anything out using the barrel imprint.

It reminds me of kit guns sold in the 70's by CVA me and my step brother each bought one in Jr High the brass trigger guard was a real rough casting and took a long time to smooth down . some where on the barrel it may be stamped JUKAR .

Looks like a partly finished CVA kit to me.

Spain roll marked on the barrel, of course it is a kit gun

I have one, a little large compared to an original, but a fun piece.

Back in the 70's there was a company that sold 3 diff. kits, one was the derringer like yours, one was a duckfoot (3 barrels) and one was a 4 shot pepperbox. I had the duckfoot and pepperbox kit. Both of them were junk. I assembled both of them and had all I could do to get them to fire.

Classic Arms sold several different guns both fully assembled and kits. I think they still sell kits. I bought a Twister derringer fully assembled. It worked well but the grips cracked on the first shot.
