I'm looking for a good flashlight for my 22 LR rifle, the flashlight has to fit a Picatinny rail.
When looking for a good flashlight, what I'm I looking for....spread out light or a straight beam of light?
I would appreciate your help on locating one, please post flashlight site and link.

Thanks so much,
bobbart

Kind of depends on how far you need it to shine.
How do you want to use it?
And how wide is the gun receiver and forend?

For home defense a wide beam would seem to be best.
Illuminate as much area as possible.
Although, just turning on the house lights might be better.
A flashlight gives your position away.
House lights don't.

why would you be using a 22 for home defense? either way i would use a medium spread beam inside a home

Check out mrgunsngear youtube channel. Here's one he recently did for handguns, but it shouldn't matter what gun you're putting it on.

Surefire X300 or TLR would be my choices.
