I am in the market just because. I see people are about 50-50 on a $25 repro. Worth a shot, I guess, except it's made in China. You know, the folks who were shooting at the guys carrying M1's in Korea.
I can't see owning a Norinco 1911 for the same reason. If I wanted an SKS, AK, or other butt-ugly firearm, sure. But not this.

A few years ago I purchased a repro bayonet for a M1917. The blade was excellent quality with all the correct markings and a nice scabbard.
Encouraged, I ordered a 16" Garand repro from the same company (don't recall the name now). It is a really cheap imitation, I was not pleased at all, especially considering the quality of the M1917 bayo from the same company. Feels like pot-steel and the scabbard was crappy imitation leather.
Shoulda sent it back immediately, but it's still sitting in the closet somewhere.
If you can find and handle a decent repro, then go for it, but don'tget stick with a blade made from a recycled matchbox car.

CMP will not ship you one until you snail mail them a proof of citizenship.

I paid more, but I bought one locally, and didn't have to wait up to 4 weeks for them to ship it.
