Post a picture when you are done!

January 14, 2013, 06:56 PM
Ya I would love it to see it afterwards.

January 14, 2013, 07:00 PM
I love it. I would love to see a video or a crap ton of photos when you get it up and running... Awesome.... I am officially jealous.

January 15, 2013, 07:30 AM
will do fellas.

i actually should be picking up an hk mp5 in 22 this week as well. maybe i'll do a side-by-side compare.

Very cool.

I am curious as to the break-down/cleaning process for this bullpup shell, as well at the trigger feel.

January 15, 2013, 12:06 PM
the whole thing is very simple. there is a long "bar" (for lack of a better word) that connects the current trigger to the kit trigger. other than that, it's just a plastic mold that holds the old trigger assembly, receiver, and barrel. there is a vertical seam, and the whole thing is held together by a bunch of screws.

assembly video here (http://youtu.be/9Ud1RJ3p2YM).

if i didn't despise RJF. I'd so have one... I just couldn't give them a dime of my money.

Still I'd love to see how you like it. I look forward to it.\s review

the one guy on the show i actually liked was the guy who designed this one. haven't watched the show since a couple after the one debuting this stock. that daughter and her stupid boyfriend are so annoying.

January 17, 2013, 10:29 AM
I'm there with Venom, except maybe not as venomous as "despise".

I will have to hand it to them though, that is pretty nice looking. Now that you have it all together how is the trigger?

January 17, 2013, 10:36 AM
still don't have it together. the wife's mother just found out she has cancer, so i've been spending my time consoling my wife and haven't had time for gun stuff lately.

according to the video, the trigger should be completely adjustable.

January 17, 2013, 01:08 PM
My thoughts are with your family Dan, I am really sorry to hear this.

January 17, 2013, 01:52 PM
I'm guessing thats for a 10/22?

January 17, 2013, 03:07 PM
correct. this is for the ruger 10/22

January 17, 2013, 03:18 PM
My favorite fun gun is my Walther G22. I think my next firearms purchase shall be a can for it.
The booklet that comes with it lists the Walther can for the G22, which one can purchase over the counter in Europe.

The G22 is the perfect host for a can, Both the iron (plastic) sights and the scope sit up high off the bore. Even with a decent can it will still be shorter than a standard rifle.

My only real complaint is the trigger, due to the long linkage. I have the integrated Walther laser for it too.

Great little gun, and darned accurate.

just finished assembly. not impressed. the operation of everything is very sticky. the charging handle sticks in the reward position, despite the heavy pressure on it from the 10/22 charging handle. the trigger is EXTREMELY heavy and mushy. the mag release sticks.

can't watch ur vids guy!

Sorry to hear about the stock. :(

January 19, 2013, 05:07 PM
vids fixed.

when i have some more time, i'm going to tear it back down and see what's sticking where, and try to file some areas down.

January 19, 2013, 05:55 PM
didnt they use the a .22 magnum in the show?

January 19, 2013, 07:15 PM
i think that was the plan, but they settled on 22lr due to its wide availability.

January 20, 2013, 11:09 AM
new products some times need a final fit and finish buy the end user. As far as the trigger thats what you get when you add a 10" flexible rod to your trigger group. I have never seen anything but mush out of a bullpup trigger.

January 22, 2013, 07:55 AM
Joe emailed me after seeing the videos and wants me to send it in.

January 27, 2013, 01:51 AM
That's too bad you are not having very good luck with it. Hopefully they can get it figured out for you. It does look REALLY nice though. Kinda makes me wanna get a 10/22.

I have heard only negative about bullpup triggers so if it is not too bad after they work on it be sure to let us know.

January 28, 2013, 12:05 PM
Will do. I love my other bullpup. The trigger is fine. No marksman's hair trigger, but it's a cqb rifle not a target rifle.

February 4, 2013, 09:21 AM
should be getting it back today. Joe said there was some debris in the charging handle and that the trigger needed a little less cam and a lot more graphite. He didn't say anything about the mag release. hopefully, he unjammed that as well.

February 4, 2013, 05:56 PM
I put my ZK-22 together as well but I havent had any issues with it yet :)

February 4, 2013, 11:30 PM
That looks real good. Is that a stainless bull barrel? Does that zombie killer thing come on the kit?

February 5, 2013, 07:02 AM
yeah, i'm a fan of the bull barrel and the 2 piece sticker. mine definitely did not come with that. in fact, the kit comes with a brass deflector that would hide that.

i was looking at bull barrels on ebay the other day. is it easy enough to attach a bull barrel to the standard carbine chamber?

they tried to deliver mine yesterday during the one hour my wife wasn't at home to sign for it. i'm having it held at the distribution center for pickup during my lunch break.

February 5, 2013, 12:25 PM
Yeah it is a bull barrel. The Zombie Killer doesn't come in the kit, and its not a sticker, its a Custom CNC bolt engraved with it saying Zombie Killer :). I decided to upgrade my factory bolt to a CNC and I found this company JWH Custom who sells them and engraved as well for a reasonable price. You can check out all their designs www.jwhcustom.com or see if they can make something specific you might want :)
Yeah I didnt find it too difficult to install it.
Glad you are getting it today! Cant wait for the updates!

February 5, 2013, 01:28 PM
just picked it up. only had a chance to quickly check the charging handle and trigger. charging handle moves freely now, and the trigger is much lighter. still not as light as the factory 10/22, but i didn't really expect that out of a bullpup. didn't have a mag to test mag release, but joe is a thorough guy. i expect he checked that too.

jwhcustoms looks cool. may have to consider that in the future.

February 5, 2013, 03:18 PM
How difficult is it to use the standard 10 round mag?

February 5, 2013, 03:31 PM
I haven't even tried it. as long as it drops free, the hardest part would be reaching up in there and keeping it level as you insert it. they leave a huge hole for the mag, so getting your fingers in there shouldn't be a problem.

February 5, 2013, 03:47 PM
As I won't be sending RJF any of my money as well, if either of you decide you want to part with that kit, I might be interested. Haha. I hate when terrible companies make decent products that I want.

February 5, 2013, 04:07 PM
They do give you plenty of space, I don't have issues with it at all, but then again Im a girl with thinner hands than most haha

February 5, 2013, 05:37 PM
Everything seems to work

February 5, 2013, 06:05 PM
We all know the hype about RJF copying the MagPul FMG, but does this design look eerily familiar?

February 5, 2013, 06:07 PM
bull barrels are easy to install on 10/22s usually they are oversized so you just take some sandpaper if needed and they fit in snug. Also I think with that kit you can't use a 16.5" barrel because it'll be an SBR* (not positive) I think a 18" would do fine. I have used TacSol and Volquartsen barrels I also like Green Mt.

Wish my lady had a screen name like that. :D

February 6, 2013, 06:56 AM
Looks good. I'd definitley look into one, but bullpups make me hate being left handed.

February 6, 2013, 07:06 AM
with the brass deflector installed, it shouldn't be a problem. it shoots all brass directly down. might burn your shirt, but other than that, it should be ok.

February 7, 2013, 04:19 PM
finally taking it to the range tonight. i put a sig red dot on it, we'll see how she performs.

February 8, 2013, 07:12 AM
that thing is fun! yes the trigger is pretty spongy. yes the reset takes some getting used to. yes it has a failure to extract at least once per mag. i'd never actually trust it in a zombie apocalypse, but it's a really fun plinker.
