I came across this Winchester scope in the back of my closet and was wondering if anyone had any information about it such as age, value etc. I've had it for awhile and I think it came from my grandfathers collection.

I posted this awhile ago and just realized I never got any response. Maybe someone here now might be able to give me some information about this scope.

There is a facebook group that talks about vintage optics... named vintage sights scopes & mounts. Maybe someone there can help.

Maybe if you make a new posting titled, "Vintage Scope", and post it in the Black-powder forum, you might get a lot more responses. It looks old, cool, and valuable, to me; but I'm no expert. It belongs on a very old rifle, or a reproduction thereof.

This one sold for about $500 in 2012:
