View Full Version : Lets see your guns!

January 5, 2013, 05:23 AM
Tragically all my cool guns were lost in a boating accident years ago, all I have left is this old musket which holds only one round with a 2 minute reload time if it's not raining!

January 5, 2013, 06:51 PM
I'm thinking about diversifying my hunting rifles. The 700 is at the top of my list.
How do you like the scope?

January 5, 2013, 07:14 PM
As much as we like looking at each others "arsenals" I think we all should lay low about photos of what we have.

January 5, 2013, 07:37 PM
Glock 20 and XDM Comp .45
S&W M&P OR with Combat Rifle Scope
CZ 75B
Just the Walther PPK not the Judge.
My other S&W M&P OR with a Primary Arms red dot. Now has a Buris Prism 536

January 5, 2013, 07:37 PM
I was thinking the same thing 1 Hobie!!!!!!!

January 5, 2013, 08:28 PM
Bulletproof and hobie, It sounds like you guys have lost your gun rights all ready

Unspoken I love the optic, most hardcore hunters laugh at the overkill of the round and the scope, most hunters stick with .300 Win Mag and X12 power scopes. I just wanted the most powerful 30 caliber round rifle in the lightest package available years ago which I tragically lost in the boating accident I mentioned above.

Xfire, that's an awesome collection! I really like the CZ.

January 5, 2013, 08:32 PM
Stripeknight, I agree with you on Bulletproof and hobie. Sad

Your collection is a fine one as well. I have a few others but sadly I don't have any pictures of! What!

January 5, 2013, 08:38 PM
Ya people can be really paranoid!!!! :D

January 5, 2013, 08:44 PM
I think we all should lay low about photos of what we have

+1: My father always told me to keep my guns to myself and to myself only

Bulletproof and hobie, It sounds like you guys have lost your gun rights all ready

I dont think it has anything to do with gun rights, some people are just more open about their firearms than others.

January 5, 2013, 08:48 PM
Pish posh! I for one have nothing to hide :D (referencing my one and only gun proudly displayed at the top of the thread)!

January 5, 2013, 08:55 PM
In this day and age of the internet it's impossible to keep things to yourself.

When we have newspapers reporting the names and addresses of CCW holders and info on pretty much anyone can be purchased posting pictures of you guns hardly makes it easier for a criminal to get them from us.

January 5, 2013, 08:57 PM
+1 to the above post!

Since the lake is so deep and the bottom is deep with mud, I couldn't get a good shot of my lost guns.

January 5, 2013, 10:38 PM
well since most of my guns are already posted on my facebook page where the entire gubment can see them...
my evil black hunting rifle
Mosin Nagant 91/30, Springfield 1903, and Enfield number 4 MK1*
9mm AR15

I have more but a showman never gives his audience the entire act at once.

January 5, 2013, 10:54 PM
Stripeknight, appears you r disarmed already.............

January 5, 2013, 11:27 PM
Sorry that picture is no longer available.

Lets see your guns, said the guy who joined yesterday.

I'm researching an article and need pictures of your um, gun "collection".

How many rounds per second can you shoot? My dad has a Glock and can shoot like 500 rounds a minute. How fast can you shoot?

Where do you live?

How close are you to a school zone?

On pish posh, I am not 14...

January 5, 2013, 11:45 PM
I just have the one....

January 6, 2013, 12:38 AM
It's ok Zekest, we all know you are just jealous of my musket. :D

January 6, 2013, 12:47 AM
You succumbed to the paranoia. Now my first response looks whacko.

Tell me where the boating accident occurred. I've got some scuba equipment and too much time on my hands.

January 6, 2013, 12:52 AM
Unspoken, it was in a Florida aligator infested lake in Alabama somewhere off the coast of Afganistan.. I didn't succumb, just thought it was funny! :D

January 6, 2013, 08:08 AM
Unspoken- unfortunately my GPS was lost too. But they are in Lake Superior. You should have no problem finding them though since you have time. :D

January 6, 2013, 10:25 AM

Nope, no reason to be paranoid but I'm not. Just very cautious about what people know about me and my little friends.

But that's just me. If you folks enjoy sharing pics, that's your perogative.:)

Have a good one!

Why do gun owners have so many boat accidents?

January 6, 2013, 07:27 PM
Colt LE6920, Christmas from my wife and son.

January 6, 2013, 07:38 PM
Just one.....

January 6, 2013, 07:46 PM
by the number of people on these boards who don't get the point.

To that point, all my guns were destroyed in a house fire. My house is fine. It was actually more like a closet fire in my house. Luckily, I was able to contain the fire just to the closet.

I'd post a picture of the damage, but my camera was in the closet on top of the gun case. ;)

January 6, 2013, 07:49 PM
^^^^^^That's FUNNY^^^^^^^^^^^!:D

January 6, 2013, 07:59 PM
Mine was a canoeing accident. I had loaded my semi-autos in the canoe to go across to a deserted island so that I could enjoy them without evil gun-banners peering over my shoulder, salivating at the toys they'd soon ban.

Alas, canoes are tippy boats and when hit by a rogue wave, the canoe turned turtle, dumping my small but high-capacity collection overboard into shark-filled waters. I managed to escape with only my Zippo lighter and a half-box of Cuban cigars that I held over my head as I side-stroked to shore. When approached by a local life-guard, who loomed over me in her bikini, I learned that Cuban cigars are also banned, and we decided to burn the evidence onshore while watching the sun set over the placid, yet shark-filled waters. My erstwhile savior admitted as the sun set that she always had an affinity for Cuban cigars and semi-automatic firearms. She produced a bottle of Cognac from her rescue bag and we sipped from the bottle as we lamented the loss of the firearms.

I'll draw the curtain on this little tragedy before I regale you with the story of her removing her bikini top. This is a family-friendly forum. Almost.

January 7, 2013, 01:44 AM
That is such a fantastic story that it must be true!:)

I would also like to thank 1Hobie for posting the links, especially the last one with the video. We should all be spreading those like wild fire.

Put a new one on lay-a-way today.

At least some of those many guns lost in the lake, or which burned up were insured. People always insure treasured objects.

Show us the new replacements!:D

Anybody with over 2,400 posts has probably acquired another, or never lost them.
Kinda obvious, even to those secret agencies swarming with swarthy Bell Textron, or Aerospatiale helicopters.

If I knew how to post photos, you would see the SKS with Tech Sight, an Enfield or two, maybe the Garand. Life is too short to worry so much.

January 7, 2013, 03:32 PM
Anybody with over 2,400 posts has probably acquired another, or never lost them.

YUCK! I don't like guns.

January 7, 2013, 06:59 PM
Well, many of you might have seen my Windham AR and S&W 1911 in the photo contest. I am sad to report that on my voyage across the Indian Ocean, the ship capsized after pirates attacked it. Little known fact, the countries around that ocean disallow standard 30-round magazines. So naturally I only brought my ten rounders.

Unfortunately, I didn't have the means to effectively defend myself and the 200+ passengers onboard, and they used the banned but still easily available RPGs to sink the ship. 100% survival rate, luckily. But, unfortunately, all of my firearms were lost.

January 7, 2013, 10:33 PM
My dogs ate mine, glad they're not pointers but I still duck when they head to the far corner of the back yard.

High capacity semiautomatic labradors:eek:

"High capacity semiautomatic labradors"

I'm pretty sure these are specifically listed in Feinstein's proposed bill.

January 8, 2013, 05:33 PM
Guns? People on this site own guns? OMG

The Tooth Fairy took all mine.

June 8, 2013, 04:38 PM

Yep, nothing to worry about at all....

If you don't think the government is scrutinizing everything every asset of our lives, go ahead and make it easier on them. You use a credit card to buy ammo/guns, a paper trail is created. Shop on-line same o same o. Heck, even using Google like I did created a "signature" if someone's looking.

Even the oh so clever "I lost them a boating accident" is just twisting the tigers tail. You'd be the first place they'll look as obviously you have something to hide.

June 8, 2013, 07:16 PM
I suggest we turn this thread into a "creative stories of how I lost my guns" competition so we can have some fun before it either gets closed or turns into an all-out conspiracy war.

June 8, 2013, 08:11 PM
In closing, I've not nor have said one thing about any conspiracies. I provided multiple sources that state facts, not conjecture, and all I want is for people that operate in this environment to take care of themselves and their loved ones.

There must be a cereal closet arson running around because there's been allot of them going around lately ;)

I believe there's already to much information on this sit about my recently scorched property already. Sorry

Edit. It's not about hiding anything. It's simply none of those who are lookings business. You know... second amendment, freedom and all that.

I sure hope a cereal closet arson doesn't get to my stash of Captian Crunch or Cheerios. My grandkids won't have any breakfast when they come over.

After the fire this was all that I had left.

I don't have a lot of photos of my long guns for some reason but I do have a couple.

Finally got around to taking some decent pics of the finished AR. I really need to get a good DSLR, these are iPhone pics. I still don't have the optic yet. This whole "new baby" thing is certainly taking a chunk out of my budget. Who knew diapers are that expensive.... Anyway, here are some shots of it as it sits now...

Edit: Not scared of posting a perfectly legal item. If someone ever tries to take it... good luck.
