I have two Mosin's, one M39 Finn, one yugo 24/47, one .303 brit a polish M44 and a Steyr M95. I am planning (at the very least) a K31 and Nagant Pistol. There are many more I would like to get but my wallet won't let me.

So what are you planning to get in 2013?
:D

well I am currently getting a pair of arisaka's but hopefully I'll have them prior to 2013 so in actuality I have few wants left.

a Swedish M38
US M1917/P14
K98 unmolested
norwegian M1914
remington M1891
nope that's about it. I doubt I'll see any of those in the next year or that I'll even have the budget to get them if I see them but that's all I want. there are a couple others but are not high priorities and are not C&Rs and don't belong on this forum.

PS what kind of enfield do you own, you just listed it by caliber.

Im looking for a 9mm carbine. Doesnt have to be tactical, but I wont rule that out. Marlin Camp 9, Kel-Tec Sub 2000, Ruger PC9, Beretta... Im trying to stay away from Hi-Points, But Damn... they sure get good comments.

I am seriously thinking of a 1858 Remington. Cabela's has them on sale for $169 with free shipping. But 2 to 3 week shipping.
So I don't know if I have the patience to wait for 2013, or if I will just have to, one way or another.

Really wanted a custom 1911 but realized it would end up a safe queen. I hate safe queens so I decided against it. Now considering just getting another CCW. Either a XDM compact 45 or an XDs 45.

December 6, 2012, 11:17 PM
^^^I rented an XDS recently, it's alright but man does it kick. I own an XDM45 compact and it holds the title for most accurate compact I've ever shot. I shoot it better than most service sized guns. great guns and if I must say so you have great taste in guns.

I'm ordering my CMP Garand when I get my taxes back in the spring. I've put it off for 2 years and I should have a pretty good refund this year so I'm finally going to do it. I can't wait until spring. Other than that I'd like to pick up a No 4 Mk1 Enfield to replace the one I sold in a fit of stupidity or maybe a Mauser. Maybe neither of those and something else that I find a deal on, who knows?

About the only thing I'm looking for is a nice Krag carbine. I keep thinking about some kind of .50bmg.

Since this is C&R, I'll stick with that.

I want to build a M1903a4.

I already have the Weaver (El Paso) K 2.5 Scope with post sight, verticle split rings (those were hard to find) and Redfield Jr. base.

I'm looking for a bubba 1903a3. Going to put on a new barrel and stock (From CMP).

I'll have a rifle for the CMP GSM Vintage Sniper Matches.

Before you tell me the 8X Unertle would be better, I'm army, not a marine. I want a army rifle.

More .45ACP ammo then I can shoot.

Unspoken
December 22, 2012, 08:09 PM
Arisaka 44
A Spanish or Swiss Mauser
Egyptian Hakim
An old Colt 1911
Ammo, ammo, then more ammo.
And I might venture into the world of Enfield.

and today a gun that's not even on my list of wants....the only reason I bought it was because it's selling for half of what the rest have been these last 6 months.

chinese SKS. it's beat up, whoever fought with it carved his name in the stock, and it has more grease in it than an old ford tractor but it was $230 bucks and with other shops in town selling molested SKS for $400 you can bet I bought the ugly beast, I was hoping to get one with decent wood but the shop was down to 3 and I got the best of them.

Maybe a SKS for the collection, just to have one again.

Well, I guess I just need to get something else now. I can't see paying $500 for one.

FairWarning
December 23, 2012, 03:21 PM
^^^

I paid $100 for my SKS in the early '90s, it's well worth that. :D

$500 territory is a no-go, however.

Realistically, I'd like to have an original (or close) K98 or M48 8mm Mauser and perhaps a 6.5 x 55 Swedish Mauser.

Unrealistically, I'd like to have a M14/.308 or a very well sorted M76/8mm, but both are expensive luxuries in this economy...

My wants at this point are what most C&R folks would call nothing fancy...A Cz-82,1896 nagant revolver, and a couple Russian Mosin-Nagant 91/30's..

January 3, 2013, 03:19 PM
currently i have: yugo m-57, Bulgarian makarov, Nagant revolver, 91/30, Norinco sks, and a Vz-22 mauser (long one) what i want to get:

Yugo m48
polish ttc
steyr m95
k-31
walther p-1

January 3, 2013, 04:02 PM
Fella's Definately get a CZ82! By far my favorite pistol to shoot! And the nagant revolver is fun to shoot too, after you dial her in. Too bad the ammo is so pricey.

In 2013
I would like to get an unmolested No4 Mk1 Savage Enfield, M38, M39, and as much 54R ammo as I can get my hands on!!

tahunua001
January 3, 2013, 04:38 PM
^^^ those savage MK1*s are great shooters. my first milsurp was a MK1* and despite HEAVY rust in, on and around every part I was a little surprised that she still shot. apparently it's like the energizer bunny...

it keeps going and going and goi....

January 3, 2013, 04:48 PM
i was also looking at cz 82s do they shoot better than bulgarian maks? cuz my bulgarian mak is pretty accurate

deerslayer303
January 3, 2013, 05:10 PM
I don't know if they shoot better than a Bulgarian Mak but what I do know is my 82 is the most accurate pistol I own, will chew anything you feed it. And has polygonal rifling to boot. I'd buy another one in a minute. I like it, its hefty, but hey it IS made of all steel, not like the plastic guns of today. Get one you won't be disappointed.

I'm looking to buy a Krag, Lee-Enfield, K31 Swiss, Finnish M39, Springfield M1903, an M1 Garand, and anything else that catches my fancy. Also, a Thompson Center Hawken .50 flintlock.

I want to sell some of my 5 Chinese Model 56 SKS's that I bought in anticipation of the panic and use the profits to get another Walther P-1, a Star B and perhaps another CZ-83 :D

January 27, 2013, 11:36 PM
Not much. I still want to sporterize my MN 91/30, get glass and a stock for my Stevens 200 .308, rebarrel my 7mm rem mag to .308 and install a scope on it, and I need to get started assembling my AR. I might try to find another 3rd generation Smith in .40 or .45. I might also get a new Charter arms bulldog. I bought an older on this year but I would like a newer one to take to the range.

Impossible to plan, I look for deals as they appear ... if I see something that fills a gap in the collection at the right price I get it. Just like hunting ... you go out into the wilderness and see what you can knock down, sure you might be looking for a nice Deer, but then something else might appear..

Hello lads, my first post here.

I would like a 1913 lithgow this year. Then I will be content for a long while.

Thanks for having me, I'm looking forward to joining in some enfield discussions if the opportunity arises.

Chinese SKS (used military), Chinese type 53 carbine (M/N), Yugo Model 59 SKS ( NOT 59/66, no granade launcher)
Hoping some other tuff shows up on the C&R list, but not gonna hold my breath with the current political atmosphere.

Look at that! More Lee Enfield collectors. Not sure what I'll be looking for this year, I'm more of a "spur of the moment opportunistic buyer". Just passed on a 1912 Sht .22 II the other day... already have one, and thought the money best left where it is in case I don't have the next rare one that comes up :D

I see an SVT in my future. It might not be this year, but I'll definitely be thinking about it all of 2013!!

Luckily, I bought my Enfield in 2012. Added a MAS 49/56 a few months later.

Anything that's a good deal and uses black powder.
Another Mosin, if I can find one at the right price.

My wife just bought me a 1903 Springfield for my B-day! It has a SN that places its manufacture in 1929 and a newer barrel with a stamp from 1944. So, now I'm moving on to trying to obtain an M1 Garand. :D

Well, I got a Ruger Takedown. I plan to get ammunition to feed it, but that's a daunting task lately.

Back in November, I told myself "I'll top off my personal store of ammo first of the year." So. Yeah.

Colt Police Positive Target 22LR
3-5 Steyr 1895s

Maybe another K31
Any sporter I run across cheap

5THBATT, those No1's are very nice. My LE collection is primarily No4's and Mo5's, I do have a 41 Lithgow and 63 RFI. My holy grail No4 is a Maltby marked MkI*. Not sure of the exact numbers but I have read about 50K made with the *. No one seems to have a reason why.

This years list

VZ24-done X's2
Ruger 10/22TD
Krag carbine
another Garand maybe

Ammo... That's all I need lol.

A 1911 would be nice too, but I'd have to get it in 45 and that's just another caliber I'd have to stock and reload.

I'm in the same boat, sent my paperwork out 2/20. Had a conversation with a nice young lady named Vicki in customer service at the CMP today who told me they're currently processing orders from January and are back logged about 60 days. Looks like my issue with needing an FFL isn't going to delay my order anymore, she hadn't even seen my paperwork yet.

As for what else I might buy in 2013, I need reloading components. Specifically I need bullets but since everyone is out of stock presently doesn't look like I'll be getting any of them anytime soon.
