Hello everyone..my question is whats the deal with the prices on the Kel Tec Sub 2000 9mm? Seems the prices have gone thru the roof. Is it a passing trend or are those prices here to stay?? I have a chance to pick one up tomorrow ,very clean in box for $350. Should i jump on it or wait and see if these $500-$600 prices come down sometime in the next couple of months? Thanks for any advice.

Does your LGS ship to an FFL? Where is this LGS?

I watched for a Sub2K in 9mm, but opted for a Hi-Point 995TS instead because the Kel-Tec supply had seemingly dried up. Funny thing was, when I finally got the Hi-Point, it was at a gun show 100-some miles from home because none had been available from the local shops or at recent local shows. When I started looking for a Kel-Tec SU-16, it was the same story, although one eventually turned up.

Kel-Tec can't keep up with demand, and most in-the-know sellers are very well aware of this. If you want a Sub2K sooner rather than later (and maybe never) then you might have to spend the extra money. They just don't turn up with any regularity, and I've only seen the .40 version "in the flesh" around here . . . once.

Very true. I think i might jump on this one. I just saw a .40 cal turn up online NIB but the guy wants $550 FIRM..no thanks i just purchased a Windham .223 $800 at my local Wallyworld. No way im going to throw $550 for a .40 Kel Tec.
