Good Deal?

I found a Savage 111 in .270 for $250. It has a Simmons Blazer scope on it. Is this a good deal? I am new to rifles so I don't know what to inspect on a used rifle. From what I could tell the bluing on the barrel looked to be in great shape and I couldn't see any exterior rust. Bore was dirty but I don't know what to look for other than that. Any opinions or suggestions?

I just bought a 111FL for exactly the same price at a pawnshop. Same scope too...mine also had a bipod and a sling. The barrel was loose and I figure the owner couldn't figure out why it wasn't shooting right. Tightening the screw fixed it right up.

Forgot to add that this comes with the accutrigger as well.

If the rifle is in good shape, buy it.

The rifle is worth that. The scope is garbage. Toss it and get a decent scope and you'll have a great shooting rifle.

Im with Doyle. The scope should be replaced with something better
