I finally got my Scout dropped into my NSG EBR chassis. Its as awsome as I hoped it would be and then some! Maybe I got lucky but the gas lock block came off with a wood block and a hammer. Many thanks to SR240 in particular for helping me with advice through the last couple months. I'll post pictures when its totally complete:rolleyes:.

Now that I got her in the chassis I just need a couple more things:

1. A 3 point sling, right now I'm leaning towards the SOCOM MK14 or the Spector.

2. An optic in the 4x32 range. I am also considering an Eotech but that seems a little short ranged for a .308; suggestions on this?

3. A vertical forgrip would be a nice addition and I know Sage makes one but I'm not sure what exactly is needed to mount it up.

I had a NSG M1A Socom 16 and thought about a fore grip. The one Sage has uses existing bolt hole and can be used with or without the handguard.

I bought a Magpul AFG and it looked cool but was not very useful as I believe they are meant for a thumb over bore hold, which unless you have abnormally long fingers is very difficult and uncomfortable on the EBR chasis.

I do not like the looks of a fore grip on most rifles, but I have to admit the function they provide is great.

I found that the EBR is just too heavy to shoulder for very long and a fore grip would not be of much use.

A good bipod is what worked well for me.

I had an Eotech 512 on mine but decided I wanted a standard scope, wound up with a Nikon ProStaff BDC 3-9x40.

Just my 2 cents worth.
