I purchased this rifle at an auction, I believe this is a 98 Mauser but other than that I'm lost. Hopefully the photos attach, I' a photo virgin here.

Sporterized Mauser 98 pattern rifle. Scope safety, looks like the Buehler style safety lever. Can't say about the markings, except they are not the same as my Yugo mod 98. Doesn't mean its not Yugoslavian, just its not the same as mine. Sorry I can't be of more help.

It says
Made at Weapons Factory- Kraguyevak Yugoslavia
It looks a bit short, but it's hard to tell from the photo, might be a Model 48.
How does it shoot?

Its really in nice shape. The guys estate I bought it from was a disabled veteran that dabbled in gunsmithing thats really all I know about it. It has a 26" barrel, I've only shot a few factory rounds through it and it was unimpressive (2" MOA) I plan to work up a load for it soon and need to get the trigger lightened up a bit but not sure I'll go that far. I'd just never seen anything like it, Thanks! Here's a few more photos
