Hello,

I am in the market to buy a hunting rifle and have a few options but know little about the sport or the variety of firearms available to me.

Here is what I do know...

I want a left-handed bolt action rifle in 30-06

Here are my options...

Savage 116 with AccuStock and AccuTrigger for around $650.

Remington 700 CDL

Remington 700 SPS

Ruger M77 Hawkeye

Are there others I should consider?

What are your takes on these guns?

Your opinions, experience, knowledge is much appreciated.

Thanks.

You'd get more feedback if it's in "the art of the rifle" section

I own a lefty 110 Savage 7mm Rem Mag. Great gun, very, very accurate and reliable. I've been very happy with it and would buy another Savage without question.

You should be able to find lefty versions of most major brands. But look into weatherby, howa, cz, winchester, and Thompson center. All have bolt guns and I believe they all have left hand options. I know you want a bolt action but a good option for other lefty fellows I know is the Thompson center encore pro hunter. It is a break action single shot designed to be ambidextrous. I love mine. Also gives you options for different barrels and cartridges for the same action.

makes the Gunsite Scout in LH.

Also, try Sako, Browning, Savage, Winchester, Weatherby (including the Vanguard series) Remington, and Tika.

I am a leftie, so I feel your pain.;)
