I am thinking up my next birthday present. I know i want a .22-250, but i cant make up my mind which one. I have an older Savage model 10 pre-accutrigger in .308 and love it, which is now just a Stevens with a wood stock. Online at Buds now the price difference bettwen a stevens 200 and a Savage 11g is only $48.00. Is the Accutrigger worth that i have never shot on and none of my friends are fans of Savage?
And also if you all have any comments on a dissent set of rings and basses I could use some help with that too, it has been a number of years since I have done this. I have already gotten the scope, I picked up a Redfield 4-12x40 i think it will do the job. Thanks

Not only do you get a better trigger with the 11G, you get a better stock as well. The wood stock on the 11 is going to be far better than the Stevens stock. This is one case where the wood stock is going to be more rigid and not flex as much as a synthetic.

I think you'll like the Savage, whichever one you'll buy. The 11G has an accutrigger, which I consider the best factory trigger out of the box that is currently installed on production rifles. I see that Bud's has it listed for $377.00, which is a heck of a deal. The MSRP (http://www.savagearms.com/firearms/model/11GCNS) for that rifle is $699.00. A quick review of Bud's prices show that model to be heavily discounted. If you like it, now might be the time to pick it up.

The savage it is, i did not know the msrp was that much. Did a surch at other online stores and none under $400 most were $525-550 and up. I was also thinking about the Marlin x7vh with the 26in heavy barrel for $319, but after some reserch alot have been receved with rust on the bolts. So the savage it is. :D Probley a lot better gun than the Marlin. Thanks for the input.
