75425Thought you TFL hunters would like to see a Veterans Day Buff that my good friend Debbie harvested. She used a Ruger 77 .270 Win with 150 grain handloads. I am not sure of the bullet manufacture, as her dad does all the loading. She was lucky enough to be #5 in Wyoming's buffalo lottery this year. The first shot whent through the top of the buffs' heart but it took two more in the shoulder to get him down. Great hunt!

Hmmm, there's a critter I'll probably never get the chance to hunt. That's an impressive animal for sure, tell her congratulations.

Nice hunt I am very jealous. How much meat is on a buffalo that size?

Very nice indeed. Hope to be able to hunt a couple in my life time.

It is not a bad sized bull, but not a huge body. I am guessing a hanging weight of 450 to 550 lbs - that is the hanging weight which includes bones. Hard to tell if you do not see it in person.

Quarters, ribs and backstraps weighed 700#. Head and cape 180#. Most likely it will yield 300# to 350# of meat. I will let you know in a week after we butcher it.

This Buff was aproximatly 1100# on the hoof.

B&C green score 108". Not book, but not bad!

I'm very impressed with her shooting and shot placement under pressure.
