I have a left handed 870 express magnum with the standard 28" bbl. I haven't hunted for years but still enjoy hiking,backpacking,camping, and fishing. I've noticed that over time the hunting guns mostly have been weeded out in favor of more compact camp/self-defense oriented firearms. toward that end I'd like the 870 bbl to be shorter. I believe at one time Remington produced a 21" slug bbl for this model but can't seem to locate one ( the right and left handed bbls. are not interchangeable). Does anyone know where I might be able to find the slug bbl.? It seems my only other option is to have the original bbl cut back and I'd rather not do this if possible. Any help would be appreciated as always.
