I put a 97b on layaway nine days ago. The shop still doesn't have one in yet, and despite being a major CZ outlet they don't know when their suppliers will have one available.

Thing is, another store has one sitting on the shelf but with an astronomical price tag. They're not willing to come down on price.:rolleyes:

All I can do is go fondle their 97b every so often, and look up pictures on the net while reading reviews. Lots of reviews.:cool:

I've wanted a 97B forever now, but it would be a range toy only (okay, maybe a nightstand gun but I have my duty P220 for that). I have a long way to go before owning one would be a reality, but it'll be there one day (maybe, still have a .357 levergun, Mosin, and a raw Mauser action for me to build a custom gun before I'm close to the 97B). I await your range report.
