It's definitely the ugliest Beretta ever made (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Beretta_87_Target.jpg). ;)

I know it's designed to be a dedicated target pistol,,,
So that massive barrel is supposed to stabilize everything.

I own a new Model 87 and absolutely love it,,,
to quote someone from this forum.

"It's a real pistol that happens to be chambered for the .22 rimfire cartridge."

Reliable, accurate, and dead-on sexy.

I love the looks of mine and the way it shoots. Rivals my Smith and Wesson 41's.

Kinda looks like something Robocop would carry...nope, wait, that was the M93R

I do like the looks of it though.

Have had mine for over a year. Bought it new. Shoots better than I do. I put the wood grips on mine and I think it gives it a better feel.

It is pricey, though. I sold a Browning Buckmark to help fund the purchase but I don't shoot it that much better than the Browning. That being said, I still have the Beretta and would not trade/sell it.

I can't believe you said that, Aarond. You do own a NEOS, correct? :p

Which may be the 2nd ugliest pistol Beretta makes. :p

But to be serious,,,
The 87 Target model looks barrel heavy,,,
For pure aesthetics I believe a pistol should taper a bit at the muzzle.

The 87 Target gets fatter towards the muzzle,,,
I know there is a bona fide purpose for it,,,
But it does ruin the lines of the design.

But Wynona (my NEOS) really isn't ugly in my eyes,,,
She helps me channel my inner Flash Gordon. :D
