Conversion of Beretta 92A1 to Decocker Only

I have a Beretta 92A1 with slide-mounted safety/decocker. On several occasions I have inadvertently flipped the safety on while manipulating the slide. Is there a practical way (or is it even possible) to eliminate/disable the safety function and make this gun a decocker-only like the 92G?
