Does anyone know of a rifle range that is not too far from downtown Dallas TX? The only one I can think of is Winchester and they do not allow military rifles or ammo. Thanks for the help.

This might not qualify as "not too far from downtown Dallas", but the Collin County Gun Range sounds like it will allow what you want to shoot. I haven't been there yet, but they rent full-auto.

The range is on Hwy 380, east of US 75 in McKinney. You can check their web site at http://www.ccgunrange.com/ (http://www.ccgunrange.com/.).

The Bullet Trap in Plano is an indoor range with stalls for two rifles. The Garland Public Shooting Range is an outdoor range and is a fairly enjoyable place to go shooting.
